Dr. Chew Thiam Leng
Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP)
Dr. Chew Thiam Leng is currently a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. His research expertise focuses in the development of advanced materials and membrane for gas adsorption, separation as well as CO₂ utilization and conversion.
To date, Dr. Chew has published 96 journal articles, 6 book chapters and has achieved an h-index of 28. As main supervisor, he has successfully supervised 4 Master students to graduation and is currently supervising 2 Master students and 2 PhD students.
Besides, Dr. Chew has served as Principal Investigator for 12 national grants, 2 industrial grants, 3 international grants and 2 consultancy projects.
Assoc. Prof. Ir Dr Yeong Yin Fong
Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia.
AP Ir Dr Yeong Yin Fong is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. She is also the Cluster Head for Carbon Capture, Utilization and Accounting (CCCUA), Centre for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Social Innovation (SEnSI), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
For the past 16 years, she has been actively working on the development of membrane materials for CO2/CH4 separation and catalysts/catalytic membranes for CO2 conversion to value added products. She has graduated 4 PhD students, 5 Master students, and currently supervising 3 PhD students, 2 Master students.
Besides, she has served as the Principal Invesigator for 14 national and international grants. She has also completed 4 consultancy projects with industries. To date, she has authored/co-authored more than 150 research articles with h-index of 32, and filed 2 patents and 2 copyrights in these fields.
Dr Siti Hasnah Kamarudin
Senior Lecturer in the Eco-Technology programme at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia,
Dr Siti Hasnah Kamarudin is a Senior Lecturer in the Eco-Technology programme at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia, and an Adjunct Professor at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia. Her research focuses on sustainable biocomposites, natural fibre-reinforced polymers, recycled plastics, bio-based materials, and circular economy solutions.
With more than 50 indexed publications and several research grants, she actively advances multidisciplinary research, industry collaboration, and the translation of sustainable material innovations into practical applications.
Her achievements include UiTM’s Top-Cited Researcher and Top Q1 Author awards and recognition among the World’s Top 5% Scientists. She is an Affiliate of the Young Scientists Network–Academy of Sciences Malaysia and a member of the Technical Committee on Bamboo and Rattan, under the Department of Standards Malaysia. She has also delivered keynote addresses at several international conferences in Austria, Indonesia, and London.
